Hello Parcouring fans!

The development of Parcouring continues. The sporting goods producer ASICS based in Neuss is this yearâ€™s main supporter and title sponsor of the ASICS Parcouring World Championship 2008, which will take place in Hamburg in autumn!

Up till now, teams of nine nations have registered: We are expecting athletes from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Morocco, Great Britain, France, Russia and Poland. Teams from all over the world can still register themselves. See it live, when the international athletes come together.

The two competitions are set up in preliminaries, semi-finals and finals. Single and team performance will be evaluated. The "Speed Contest" is about crossing the course as fast as possible and the "Style Contest" looks out for the most spectacular and acrobatic tricks.

All Parcouring fans and athletes have the chance to be at the ASICS PARCOURING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2008!

This year Parcouring has even more to offer: Within the global marketing campaign of ASICS the Parcouring Show Tour will be carried out in eight German cities. In July and August you will be able to see the athletes in action. Locations of the tour are Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, Dresden, Cologne, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Munich. The exact dates will be announced soon on www.parcouring.com.

Athletes of the German National Team and other professionals will perform a Parcouring Show on site. Afterwards you have the chance to try the one or the other trick in a guided workshop.

Parcouring has become a trend - even scientific researches are being done about it! Two diploma students of the University of Bayreuth, department of Sports Economics, are writing their final thesis on Parcouring in cooperation with Kultos Entertainment Ltd..

Furthermore sociological studies are being conducted. The social pedagogue Dieter Tatz is examining sports for drug abuse prevention, using Parcouring as the example.
